These Board members spend significant time and effort to make Rockford a great place to live, but that is the responsibility of ALL homeowners and residents. We must all make an effort to maintain our homes to an acceptable standard.
The Board typically meets on a monthly basis and normally consists of 5 -11 members.
If you are interested in joining, please let us know before the next election.
Any request for Board approval or complaints should be sent by email or USPS mail to the addresses above. The Board’s authority is derived from the Covenants, By-Laws, and Articles of Incorporation. Crimes and other matters outside the Board’s jurisdiction are handled by the City of Birmingham. The Police non-emergency number is 205-328-9311 and the South Precinct number is 205-254-2793.
Besides your volunteer Board, we also have a voice in City government through our participation in the Glen Iris Neighborhood Association (GINA).
GINA normally meets on first Mondays of each month at the St. Elias Church, 836 8th Street South at 6:30 pm. Rockford residents are encouraged to attend.
Glen Iris is in City District 3 and Valerie Abbott, our City Councilor, is a regular attendee at the meetings.
